Background of the Study
The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized various industries, and higher education institutions are beginning to embrace its potential to enhance campus management and student experience. Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, located in Wamako LGA, Sokoto State, is looking to modernize its campus by implementing IoT-based systems to monitor and manage various aspects of campus life. These include environmental conditions, energy usage, security, and infrastructure maintenance.

IoT involves the use of interconnected devices that can collect and exchange data in real-time, offering a comprehensive approach to monitoring and improving campus operations. By embedding IoT sensors across the campus, the university can optimize energy consumption, ensure campus security, track resources, and even monitor the health and well-being of students. This study aims to implement an IoT-based smart campus monitoring system at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, to improve campus management and student services.

Statement of the Problem

1. To design and implement an IoT-based smart campus monitoring system for Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
